The history of N.Y.U.C.D:
In 25 august 2008 in Ndeukou village (villages in Senegal) I gathered the rural youth there in order to make a difference for our rural communities, to change the life there; to make them realizes that they can take part and make action for the world and for their communities as well.
And in that meeting in the village the youth participants from every rural corner in Senegal agreed to the idea of creating the above mentioned union.
But how we can make a difference?
The N.Y.U.C.D (The Ndeukou Youth Union for Change and Development.)Believes that everyone has a right to a shining and brighten future through education, health care and human development training. And the youth the leaders of tomorrow must take part in world action and in developing their communities.
In this in mind the union focuses on working in partnership with charities or organizations specifically in rural societies and individuals living in poverty ,inequality, and for under privileged environments.
When creating this we know that there are challenges that waiting us but we will overcome them by believing that: "obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up, figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it" Michael Jordan
vision:
to enrich rural societies and rural individuals through education ,health care and human development training for those youth ,and order to prepare them to shoulder the responsibility of changing and developing their communities and the whole world as well.
To create a brighten future for themselves and for those around them, regardless of race, gender, culture, political affiliation or religious.
Mission statement:
To work together with local communities as well as through private public partnership, to help rural youth and rural communities realize their goals of achieving healthy productive life .and our programs seek to expand local abilities and to improve communities in all level in order:
· To facilitate information sharing and communication between the youth, where they happen to be.
· To support rural youth projects on the ground through expertise, resource, and partnership.
· To increase literacy, professionals and human development training in rural communities.
Projects:
We are currently lunching the following projects:
Education:
To raise awareness of rural young people's critical role of changing and developing their communities.
To facilitate learning by giving the rural young people the opportunity to share their personal perspective on development, as well as listen to and get feedbacks from their peers and professionals.
To foster respect, appreciation and a spirit of collaboration between the rural young people of divers background.
Training:
To build a center increasing literacy and human development training.
To equip the rural youth with practical skills and necessary resource that will aid them in their future endeavors.
To empower the youth and give them the guidance necessary to electively share the trains, information, knowledge and skills they need and acquire with other youth in their countries and communities.
Health care:
Nor change neither development could happen without a good health in the community that wants to develop, with this in mind the union will:
Make lectures and forums in every village to make them have the real knowledge about health care.
To get volunteers from the youth to send them to these villages for health care forums and conferences.
Action:
To make the rural youth believe about self help program a do it your self philosophy a do it right now philosophy. a it's too late philosophy
To develop and plan ground-breaking solutions to trenchant development problems through partnerships between youth, their peers and professionals.
Funding:
Charging fess of being a member in the union
Charging fees for participations in our some events.
Donations from wealthy people and prominent individuals.
Charities from organizations that work in these fields.
So we are joining hands to every one who have the heart of helping the rural youth and to those who believe that they cam make a difference and can participate in the world development .so lets change the planet for a better one to live in, by helping supporting these youth.
